For many of us, to go on the EBC trek represents an opportunity of a lifetime, a chance to tick the list before we kick the bucket, and a time to seek the meaning of life. The majesty of the Himalayan mountains are breathtaking, and to see the sun rise over the highest mountain on Earth will make you question your purpose. But for the EBC guides and porters, the mountains are their jobs and their purpose is to return safely each day. For them, some days are diamonds, some days are stones.
